Welcome to Lime Tree Art

This site features the colored pencil art of Nova Scotian artist Mary Coffill Deveau. Suffering from cornea neuralgia, Mary uses art as therapy to help deal with severe chronic eye pain.

Why Lime Trees?

Lime tree fiber consists of 10 - 12 layers. Colored pencil art also consists of as many layers.

Lime trees are symbolic for their healing power. Art also provides its own restorative healing power.

Why Lime Tree Art?

Just as the fiber inside lime trees grows in as many as 10 to 12 successive layers, so are there many layers of colored pencil applied to Mary's pieces allowing for bright realistic art with wonderful tones.
